St. Patrick’s Day Banners + Free Printable

St. Patrick’s Day is just a week away. We are going to be on a little spring break vacay for it, but I did put together these banners. It’s not usually a holiday I would decorate for but I have been making banners like crazy these days. They are so easy to make and super cute to hang over my kitchen sink or in my living room. It’s the same style project as my free printable Mardi Gras banner.

If you haven’t tried Canva yet, its my new favorite website for graphics, like the one above. They have tons of images and forms to use; I love it because its a great free alternative to photoshop, if you can’t afford to use that. I’ve made fun festive banners, pdf documents, advertisements, and party invites on it using just their free stuff.

Using Canva to Make Your Own Banners

In Canva to make banners, start off with a blank document. Then I usually select a plain white background. After that you can search the clip art for shapes that resemble banner pieces. There are a few free options, which are what I use. Next you can alter the colors and add the lettering. I love Canva because it seems like it has a ton of hip fonts, none of that outdated shenanigans. Last, once you have your design finished, you can download it to your computer and print it out.

These mini banners only take up two pages. First of all you need to print it out.  Then you just need to cut it out so you can  hang it up. Next it’s easiest to use a hole punch in each corner and then string it up on some twine or ribbon. I just used a few scraps of jute string and some festive lime green tape to hang mine. These ended up over the kitchen sink.

After you print this out and hang it up, take a picture for me.  Then I’d love for you to share it on my Crafty Disaster Facebook Page.
